As I have written in another
post I suffered from exfoliative cheilitis for 8 months. This is a chronic peeling and cracking of the lips. I also had a sore mouth on the inside and as a result of that, most of the day a burnt tongue, which made it difficult to eat. Furthermore on some days the skin around my lips would be red, swollen and itchy. The condition is painful, unsightly and definitely causes misery for the victim.
In the other post I wrote about all the different cures I have tried; they would half fill a bucket! Creams and oils and

Anyway to make a long story short, the cure in my case is a simple fungicide cream called
Daktacort which can be bought without a recipe at the pharmacy. Daktarin is the same thing but without cortisone. Improvement started after the first application and now after 10 days I am practically cured. Not entirely; my lips still feel a bit hard (keratinous) but the painful cracking has totally stopped and there is hardly any peeling. Neither have I had the red itchy skin around the lips anymore. After 8 months it feels like heaven! Finally I can use
lipstick again!

Hi, I've been suffering from the same condition you had. Just wondering if you managed to have your lips fully cured? I've done a couple of swab test and yet no results came through.
ReplyDeleteWell no. I have had some considerable relief from using a Propolis product which is unfortunately not online anymore and I cannot recommend any product which I have not tried out myself. They have done tests and stuff and I have tried out more than 30 things. Nothing helped really. Do try out a propolis cream if you can find it. And let us know. There are more sufferers out here!
