Runner's hip: 6 different causes

Image
Hi! As an alternative to the intense workout program I occasionally run, although I am far from a runner at heart. I started around 2 years ago, kind of by accident, and have since then been running regularly. One problem which has been plagueing me is a hip injury. I injured the hip probably by working in the garden but then the running made it worse and I developed an imbalanced step to compensate for the pain. Eventually I could not run anymore.  Months later when I finally visited a doctor he diagnosed bursitis, an inflammation of the little fluid-filled sac on top of the leg bone which is supposed to cushion it. I received a cortisone injection directly into it, which is not something I want to repeat, but it did help.  tripleclicks.com Massage Cream Relief Pain In Muscles And Joints Essential Oils Muscle Pain Ointment Essential Oil —  €10.94   (Save 9%!) 15-minute fitness training program, week 3, day 2

Image
Hi! Today I did something entirely different. I took a power walk 45 min  (walking as fast as I can without actually getting into that weird hip-swing gait) and completed that with a 150 m sprint and a 100 m sprint . Why? Because the previous running stints have restarted a problem with my hip joint, and I do not want to aggravate it by running more. The previous treatment included a very painful cortisone injection straight into the bursa on top of the bone. I do not want a repeat of that, thank you very much. The power walk got me into a sweat and I had a lot of other things to do which kept me physically active so all in all I am satisfied with the day's exercise. 15-minute fitness training program: Week 3, Day 1

Image
Hi! Yes, we have advanced from the 10-minute fitness program to the 15-minute program. Finally! I am very excited after my first 15-minute workout, which went just fine btw. I can really feel my leg muscles, but also my abs.  As in the 10-minute program I will try to alternate intensive exercise programs with cardio, in my case this is mostly running when the weather allows. If you are using this as a program for yourself to follow you can of course choose any cardio exercise. I find running so easy because you just need to put on good shoes and clothes and go out. You don't need any equipment, you can do it anywhere anytime and with anyone if you want.  tripleclicks.com BIOCHEM SPORTS BIOCHEM SUPERIOR B-12 —  €14.57   (Save 10%!) 10-minute daily fitness program day 11 to 14

Image
Hi! This is Day 14 of my Fitness program. I have not actually managed to keep to my original program, unfortunately. I should have been onto the 15-min program already. I have had other things to attend to blah blah, some days i have not exercised but been running instead, on the Tuesdays we will be dancing Bugg  for 1 +1/2 hour so that qualifies as exercise ( for those of you not on the know, Bugg is a swedish version of rock'n roll without the throwing, it is actually quite fun and can get quite intensive, don't ask me where they got the name from :)). In other words I keep busy but don't do home exercises. But I will try to get out a 15-min exercise program asap!  tripleclicks.com Corset Waist Training Cincher Control Body Shaper —  €15.06   (Save 40%!)

10-minute fitness training program: Day 10

Hi! Yes, I know. I hopped over a day again. It happens sometimes. Family circumstances. However, I did do the day 3 program again, on Sunday I went running, and have been researching tons of sites for good additional exercises and trying them out. Here is the running program : 1. Warm up by using circles : Circle your head, your shoulders,   your arms, your hips, your knees, and your ankles. Do 4-5 circles for each joint on each side, rotate clockwise and anti-clockwise. 2. Start with a 1 km jog at a good moderate pace. 3. Do a 200 m sprint, followed by a walking rest. Repeat. 4. Do a 150 m sprint, followed by a walking rest. Repeat. 5. Finish with 2 x 100 meter sprints alternating with a walking rest. Give yourself a big pat on the back. You can time yourself (or have someone else time you) with a stopwatch . I haven't gotten up the courage yet! So, soon I will have the Week 3: 15-minute daily training program out, I will have some...
