I just love my new body: how to get rid of belly fat for women

Image
Hi! Yesterday morning I broke one of my own rules, which is to not do the same workout routine on consecutive days. I did this fabulous yoga workout from Boho Beautiful (love you guys!) on Tuesday and I almost managed to do it entirely. But not quite, I got stuck a bit on the plank. So to make things right I did it again and managed it in its entirety without pause. YOOHOO!!!! So that is worth a post I think. I have lost about 0,5kg up to 1 kg (hard to determine) of belly fat in about 8 months. I don't have a 6-pack yet, but I think if I keep going on I might get there. And this is how I did it: I get up every morning at 6 am, unless it is weekend or day off when I get up at 8 or even 8:30, and I do a 10 or in the weekend 15 minute workout. Often I use yoga because I have a painful back and  I feel it helps but it can also be a cardio workout, a full body workout, a core workout, Pilates workout or whatever I can find on Youtube.  If the Internet is down ag...

Product Review: Slimming and Firming Cream

Image
Hi! Last year I bought this Slimming and Firming and breast cream (strange combi I thought at first but it is meant to firm saggy skin, so that would be the reason). At first I tried it on my main frustration which is my belly. But then I bought the Ab Gymnic belt exerciser and you can't judge if a product is working if you are testing two at the same time! So I use the belt on my belly instead, and I started using the cream on my hips. Even if you are exercising, when you are older your body starts to sag, so that even if you are the same weight you were 10 years before, your middle may have expanded. Just a fact of life. So I noticed that although I am pretty slim the little "wings" at the top of my legs where it goes over to my backside had started developing again. Many years ago, after my first pregnancy, I used my own Slimming and Firming cream (with essential oils and herbal extracts) and had a really fine result, so I decided to give it a try again with ...

Healthy nutrition 2: how to lose weight

Image
Hi! Since I posted about healthy nutrition and staying slim I have had quite a lot of comments so I decided to discuss this issue and my experiences a bit further today. A lot of people tell me they are envious of my thinness (I am not really thin, I just have very long arms and legs in comparison to my rather round body; I used to think of myself as a spider with a round body and limbs sticking in all directions) and that they want to lose weight. But then when I see what they actually do, they are not contributing to their own goal. I used to have a colleague who complained that she did not eat very much but was unable to lose the extra kgs. But whenever I saw her eating it was something very fatty. Then I used to have another colleague who was on a diet, so she would skip breakfast (BAD idea! All kind of research points to that a good breakfast is key to maintaining health and a good weight) and then of course by 11 o'clock she would start feeling faint and then she woul...

Healthy nutrition: what's the best foods for weight loss

Image
Hi! Today I had a colleague who asked me how I manage to stay so thin. It is not the first time I have had this question and I thought it might be interesting to take it up here. Obviously, staying at the same weight is a matter of balance. I probably actually go up and down a little in weight like everyone else, but I do not realize it. I have had times when I was a few kilos up or down from my current weight which is somewhere around 65 kg. At my 1.80 m this is just fine. I do not want to lose weight. I would like to add muscle. I am not the least concerned about my weight, factually. I am interested in my body fat content, not my weight in kilos. >(or lbs).  But isn't it ironic? When I put on weight it goes on to my "jellybelly" and my hips. When I lose weight (last year I was very stressed and got down to 62 kg which is too little for me) I lose it from my face and my arms and legs, and the stubborn fat on my belly and hips stays. Sigh. So now everyone ...
