Yes! I have started my daily 15 min fitness program again! Week 4 day 6 is finally here!
HI!
I finally decided that if I would wait for my motivation to come back to me it might be Christmas or New Year before I started again, and that would simply not do. I was really feeling the need for exercise. Especially after I had taken over the gym classes for a sick teacher one day and had so much fun doing that!
So, last Saturday I grabbed my weights, my towel and my yoga mat and just went to work. I went back to my first programs. Here is what I did (just improvising).
30 sit-ups with a side torso twist, with weights.
30 hip rolls (I actually do 15 and then 15 of the next exercise and then another 15 and 15 of the next).
30 double leg lifts lying on my back with straight legs (legs out parallel to the floor, raise them to 90 degrees straight up, toes pointing at the ceiling, then back down to parallel with the floor).
30 tricky cats (on hands and knees, opposite arms and legs out with weights, mind your balance)
30 clamshells (On your back, bring knees in and nose to knees).
Dancing the lambada with arm and ankle weights (believe me, this was the toughest exercise!)
Stretching, especially the abs but also the legs (the lambada is very intensive for the legs, as you dance on your toes, keeping your knees bent all the time and kicking out every other beat.)
On Sunday I could feel my ab muscles (yes! I still have them!) so I redid the whole program with the addition of 30 Rover's Revenge. On Monday I redid this program with the addition of a 1-minute Plank with alternate leg raises. On Tuesday I hopped over a day, on Thursday I reran the Tuesday program but changed the Plank for 30 pushups and had a disco dance instead of the lambada. With the weights it was still good exercise.
I will look through my old programs and find some other exercises for tomorrow. I plan to do exercise every other day and as soon as I can go running again I will do that on the inbetween days (I have a broken toe, from 3 weeks ago, so running is possible but not advisable).
Feeling good!
